1st day:
Arrival in Lucerne by train from the Swiss border or the airport. Get the German touch
in Lucerne – the hearth of Switzerland. A stunning setting, world-famous sights, exciting modern architecture, endowed museums and much more make Lucerne a thrilling city to visit. Overnight in Lucerne.
2nd day:
Day at leisure. We recommend the Mount Pilatus golden round trip excursion: from Lucerne you board the boat to Alpnachstad and from there the steepest cogwheel train
the world takes you up to Mount Pilatus at 2132m/7000ft. On the way back you take the cable car/gondola down to Kriens and further by bus back to Lucerne (operating app. mid May – app. mid October). See optional excursion rates. Overnight in Lucerne.
3rd day:
Rail journey to Lugano in the very south part of Switzerland. Precision and Swiss quality and on the other side Mediterranean charm and style in gastronomy and architecture. These are simple words to describe the beauty of this land of contrast. Overnight in Lugano.
4th day:
Get the Italian touch and live the dolce vita – all while experiencing more wonderful moments on f.ex. a boat trip to enchanting places such as the picturesque fisherman village of Gandria or Morcote. Or you might want to explore Swissminiatur in Melide – the open-air miniature park where you will find more than 120 models representing patrician houses, castles, cathedrals and other structures of Switzerland. Overnight in Lugano.
5th day:
Today you take the train from Lugano to Locarno from where the Centovalli Railway takes you to Domodossola in Italy. There you board the train to Brig Switzerland and
further to Lausanne. The picturesque city of Lausanne is the second-largest city on Lake Geneva. Since 1914 it is headquarter of the International Olympic Committee.
Overnight in Lausanne.
6th day:
Get the French touch in the land of savoir faire and belle vie. Enjoy the wine of an incredible place – the Lavaux region – landscape of terraced vineyards and World
Heritage Site. We suggest a visit of the Olympic Museum. Overnight in Lausanne.
7th day:
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.
